Inspire your child this May half-term

Marchants Hill is the perfect activity centre for children to build confidence, develop new life skills, and have an amazing time!

Set within 45 acres of beautiful woodlands, including a large purpose-built lake, the site offers exciting land and water-based activities such as kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, abseiling, and forest walking. Beyond the adventure, children can relax and recharge in cosy accommodation, utilise the sports pitches, and enjoy dedicated chill-out zones.

Adventurers are split into 8-11, 11-13, and 13-16 year old age groups at our kids camps. With same-age peers children feel more comfortable, confident and equipped to reach their potential.

What will my child take part in during their time at camp?

Your child will always be taking part in a range of our epic outdoor activities, such as Raft Building, Abseiling, Climbing, canoeing, team-building challenges and much more! All of our activities are designed to fuse excitement with education.

What safety measures are in place at May half-term camps near London?

At PGL it is safety first, always. We go above and beyond to ensure every young person is in safe hands at all times.
PGL have over 15 governing & safety accreditations. Plus we voluntarily apply to Ofsted to be on the Childcare Register.
Everything we do is built on five protective pillars:

  • Safe People: Staff are fully trained, DBS checked, and continually assessed.
  • Safe Places: All buildings are risk assessed, we have segmented accommodation, secure perimeters and strict equipment standards.
  • Safe Spaces: All-encompassing environments, language inclusivity, and SEND-trained staff.
  • Safeguarding: Staff are trained in safeguarding, helping them to spot risks and act quickly.

Marchants Hill is a huge camp complex conveniently located not far from London in the village of Hindhead in Surrey. Surrounded by beautiful woodland, it is the ideal setting for our outdoor activities, where children can challenge themselves and make the most of their time with new friends. Is there evening entertainment available at a London half-term camp?

Are the May half-term camps split by age groups?

We want your child to be comfortable when they’re at camp, which is why certain ages overlap, meaning a ‘primary school’ 11-year-old could join our 8-11 adventures, and your ‘secondary school’ 11-year-old could join our 11-13 adventures! For teenagers, our adventure camps for 13-16 year olds offer the perfect blend of discovery and fun.
