Menus & More InformationKids love sleepovers at Boreatton Park camp!
Sharing a room with new friends is part of the PGL experience! We have a range of accommodation at our Boreatton Park camp, from staying in the grand mansion house, woodland lodges or our new cosy cabins. All rooms are clean, warm and cosy, with comfy beds and clean bathrooms close by. After a long day of action, our young adventurers look forward to a fantastic night’s sleep, ready for more excitement tomorrow.
Mansion House
The mansion house was built in 1857 and is a rare ‘calendar’ house with four main doors, 12 chimneys and 365 windows. There are two floors of dorms with 8–16 beds per room and toilets/showers nearby. This is usually where the 8–11s, and some 11-13s stay.
Cabin Village
NEW Cabins – Our wooden cabins combine the perfect blend of sleeping in nature and comfort. All the cabins are grouped together in their own cabin village, which has shower and toilet facilities nearby and a central sheltered communal area to relax in.
Tall Timbers Lodges
The ‘Tall Timbers’ Lodges in the grounds have mainly four or six beds in a room with en-suite showers/toilets. These are normally for 11–13s and 13–16s. The 13–16s will also have their own chill out room.
Adventure camps for all ages at Boreatton Park
We’ve learned that children get the most from their PGL adventure when they’re with kids their own age, which is why at our Boreatton Park camp, we split our kids’ camps into three main age groups.
Not only do children feel more confident and relaxed around same-age peers, it means their adventure will be perfectly tailored to suit their ability, offering age-appropriate excitement, challenges and activities to provide maximum enjoyment from their half-term, Easter or Summer holiday in Shropshire.
Our overlapping age ranges give you the option to choose the best group for your child if they are sitting at the upper/lower age limit.
Activities
PGL Boreatton Park is bursting with a wide range of incredible activities for your young explorers to discover. From axe throwing and high ropes courses to orienteering and zip wire, there’s an adventure activity to excite every thrill-seeker!
Abseiling
The tower is over 10 metres high. The task – to walk backwards off the top, gradually working back towards ground level, suspended only on a rope. It’s all about trust, courage and confidence. It’s also a very dynamic way to learn calculating and controlling risk. Some children deal with heights more easily than others, but the support and encouragement of the rest of the group is important for each individual’s success and will help strengthen peer relationships.

All Aboard
All aboard is all about building trust and strengthening peer relationships – at the top of a 6 metre pole! Teams of up to four children scale the pole to reach the small platform at the top. Balancing on the platform becomes more difficult as more team members arrive to share the space. The challenge is to cooperate and support each other. The task is complete when all four team members successfully stand together at the top of the pole. Weight limit: 150kg
