Our Wicked Experience musical theatre camp is a brilliant blend of professionally-led official Wicked workshops, and high-energy PGL adventure.

The Wicked Experience itinerary

Day One – The adventure begins

 Arrive ready for a full day of PGL adventure activities designed to break the ice, build friendships and create the ultimate team spirit before stepping into the magical world of Wicked.

From giant swings to challenge activities, campers will build confidence, resilience and communication skills – the perfect ingredients for bringing a performance to life. Evening entertainment included.

Day Two – Time to defy gravity

A full day of official Wicked Workshops led by professional facilitators. Participants will work on:

  • Acting through song
  • Vocal technique & harmonies
  • Dance & movement
  • Storytelling & stagecraft
  • Character exploration inspired by Wicked

By the end of the day, campers will have developed their own showcase performance while learning real West End rehearsal techniques in an immersive, supportive environment. Evening entertainment included.

Day Three – One last adventure

One final day of PGL Kids Camp fun before heading home with new friendships, unforgettable memories and a little extra confidence to help them “dance through life”.

Who runs the Wicked Experience musical theatre workshops?

The Official Wicked Musical Theatre Workshop has been specially designed to introduce young people to the many multi-layered performance techniques used in professional musical theatre.

Delivered in partnership with Starling Arts CIC, these engaging sessions combine:

  • Singing
  • Dance
  • Acting
  • Wellbeing & confidence-building
  • Creativity & self-expression

Led by expert practitioners including a musical director/pianist and choreographer/director, participants will learn specially selected material inspired by Wicked while developing performance skills in a fun, inclusive and high-energy environment.

Who is the Wicked Musical Theatre Camp for?

This camp is designed for children aged 8–13. It’s perfect for those who love singing, acting or dancing, but also for children who want to build confidence and try something new – no previous experience is required.

What will my child do during the Wicked Experience workshop?

Will there still be PGL activities?

Yes! Alongside the workshops, children will enjoy a range of classic PGL adventure activities, designed to build confidence, teamwork and friendships.

What is the camp schedule?

  • Day 1: Arrival and PGL adventure activities
  • Day 2: Full day of Wicked workshops and performance rehearsals
  • Day 3: Final activities before departure

Evening entertainment is included each night.

Does my child need performance experience?

Not at all. The camp is designed to be inclusive and supportive, so children of all experience levels can take part and build confidence at their own pace.

Who leads the West End workshops?

Official Wicked Workshops are provided in partnership with Starling Arts CIC, delivered by experienced professional facilitators who are specialists in musical theatre, supported by the PGL team to ensure a safe and engaging experience.

Are places limited?

Yes. This is a brand new and exclusive experience with limited availability, so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.

Will my child make friends?

Absolutely. Activities are designed to help children bond quickly, build teamwork skills and form lasting friendships in a fun, supportive environment.

Will my child be safe?

Absolutely. At PGL, safety always comes first. We ensure every young person who comes to PGL is safe with our five protective pillars:

  • Safe People: Staff are fully trained, DBS checked, and continually assessed.
  • Safe Places: All buildings are risk assessed, we have segmented accommodation, secure perimeters and strict equipment standards.
  • Safe Spaces: All-encompassing environments, language inclusivity, and SEND-trained staff.
  • Safeguarding: Staff are trained in safeguarding, helping them to spot risks and act quickly.
  • Safe Travels: All of our travel partners are vetted to make sure they have safety management systems in place, and we ensure travel is adaptable to the needs of all children.

What happens in the evenings?

The fun doesn’t stop! In the evenings, we offer a range of engaging activities, including thrilling quizzes, team games, arts and crafts, and even talent shows. These activities provide a perfect way to wind down after an action-packed day, while also giving campers the chance to bond with new friends and create lasting memories.

What should my child bring to camp?

We recommend packing comfortable clothing suitable for both indoor and outdoor activities, including waterproofs, layers, and sturdy footwear. For full details, please see our key information and FAQs page.

Can I pay with childcare vouchers or tax-free childcare?

Why are your adventure holidays split by age groups?

Our adventures are split by age groups because we like to encourage children to make new friends and take part in activities with those of a similar age. That’s why we offer camps for 8–11 year olds, 11–13 year olds and 13-16 year olds, ensuring that each child is comfortable when they’re at camp.
