We have three age groups: children aged 8-11, 11-13 years, and 13-16 years – our UK adventure camps provide the perfect environment for children to get outdoors! What Happens in the Evenings During an October Camp?
The fun doesn’t end when the sun goes down! After a day of excitement, a vibrant evening itinerary takes over. Children can look forward to a mix of high-energy and cosy autumnal fun, including:

What's the Accommodation Like at a PGL Camp?
We know that a good night’s sleep is essential for a busy day adventuring, so at PGL our accommodation is designed to be a home away from home. Depending on which centre you choose, your child will stay in one of the following:
- Classic lodges and log cabins
- Traditional mansion houses
- Purpose-built chalets
All our rooms are located in secure buildings with bathrooms located nearby and our staff are always on hand overnight to ensure every child feels safe and comfortable during their stay.
Can I Pay with Childcare Vouchers or Tax-Free Childcare?
Yes, we aim to make our half-term camps as accessible as possible for families. We are fully registered to accept payment from all the major childcare voucher providers at our English centres. We also welcome payments through the Government’s Tax-Free Childcare Scheme.

Why Are Half-Term Camps Split by Age Groups?
To ensure every child has the best possible experience, we group our campers by age. This allows us to tailor the activities, social pace and developmental challenges to suit their specific needs.
When booking your October half-term holiday camp, you can choose from three main groups: 8-11, 11-13 and 13-16.
We understand that some ages are transitional; for example, a primary school 11-year-old might feel more at home in our 8-11 adventure, while a secondary school 11-year-old may prefer the pace of the 11-13 group. This flexibility helps to ensure that your child feels completely comfortable, confident and ready to make lifelong friends.
What if it’s Cold and Wet During October Half-Term?
At PGL, we are well prepared for the great British weather! Our activities run in almost all weather conditions, so children can still enjoy their half-term adventure. If the weather becomes too extreme for a specific outdoor session, we don’t let the fun stop – we simply swap to one of our exciting indoor alternatives.
