Here’s a sneak peek of what to expect during a typical day on a PGL watersports summer camp.

What will my child be doing day-to-day at a watersports camp?

Osmington Bay (Dorset)

  • Full day Coasteering and Crag Climbing at Cumulus Outdoors Adventure
  • Half day at Dorset Adventure Park on their inflatable aqua park course and mud trail
  • Two half days at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy enjoying PGL watersports activities

Liddington (Wiltshire)

  • Full day Sailing and Windsurfing at The Real Outdoor Xperience (Rox)
  • Half day at Cotswolds Aquaventure on their inflatable aqua park course
  • Half day experiencing Ringo rides at 4 Lakes

 

Your child will also have the opportunity to join in with our classic PGL multi-activities!

What's included in a watersports adventure camp?

When you book a watersports adventure camp for your child, everything is included.

That means:

  • – Activities
  • – Food
  • – Drink
  • – Accommodation
  • – Equipment

What does my child need to bring?

Buoyancy Aids, Wetsuits and Helmets will be provided where necessary, along with expert tuition and supervision. All you need to bring is swimwear, towels and water shoes/grip socks.

We also recommend packing a refillable water bottle and sun protection (hat and sunscream) to make sure your child is ready for a full day of fun on and around the water.

What locations do PGL offer watersport camps for?

We offer specialist watersports camps at the following locations:

Dorset, Osmington Bay

Wiltshire, Liddington

At what age can children attend?

You can book this camp for:

11-13 year olds

13-16 year olds

To create the best camp experience for kids attending occasionally we will combine adjacent age groups on selected activity sessions. This does not include rooming or pastoral groups.

How will my child be kept safe at camp?

At PGL, we always prioritise the safety of your child. Our watersports sessions are led by qualified instructors who are expertly trained in all the necessary areas. We follow strict safety procedures and use high-quality, well-maintained equipment. Before each activity, campers receive a full safety briefing and are always closely supervised on the water.

What's on in the evening?

We have lots of entertainment planned for the evenings. From quizzes, to games, discos and more! The fun continues after dinner at PGL.

Are there weight limits and a minimum swimming ability required?

Children MUST be able to swim a minimum of 50m without a buoyancy aid.

For guests attending a watersports camp at Osmington Bay, there is a weight limit of 18 stone (114kg).
