Our story began all the way back in 1955 when a young engineer named Peter Gordon Lawrence embarked on his first canoe holiday down the River Danube. He was so inspired by his experience that he was determined to share the life-changing benefits of adventure with others.

In 1957 Peter formed ‘PGL Voyages’ and began leading canoe trips for young adults along the River Wye, sharing his passion for the great outdoors. Fast forward to today and many things have changed, but one thing remains the same… our purpose of enriching young lives through adventure.

Our all-inclusive residential Kids’ Adventure Camps, are a true showcase of our purpose. Run every school holiday (with the exception of Christmas & February Half term), our Kids’ Camps offer a safe and secure environment for children aged 8-16 to experience independence, grow in confidence, challenge themselves, develop skills and meet new friends… but most of all have FUN!

Kids’ Adventure Camps range from 2 to 7 nights and run at 10 centres across the UK for ages 8-16 years, offering PGL’s renowned Multi-Activity programmes within DISCOVER! or EXPLORE! Adventures or Specialist themed TRAILBLAZE! Adventures – such as Watersports, Horse Riding and Cooking. Our Kids’ Camps also offer the ideal childcare solution for busy families meaning everyone is happy – what’s not to love?!
