When can my child come to a PGL camp?
Our centres are open between Easter and October half term (UK school holidays) – please search online or call our team on 0333 321 2114 to view latest availability.
How many other children from overseas will be at the centre?
We welcome many children to our centres from outside the UK and numbers will vary from week to week and centre to centre. It is not possible to predict how many overseas children will be at our centres at any one time however the centres nearest London are particularly popular with guests travelling from overseas and many choose to visit in the early part of the summer. In late July and throughout August the vast majority of guests staying at our centres will be from the UK.
Can my child be roomed with children who only speak English?
If you tell us in your Essential Guest Information Form that you would like your child to be roomed with other English speaking guests we will endeavour to fulfil this request however we cannot guarantee that there will be only English speaking children in their room as we do not always know every child’s nationality or first language.
Experience tells us that if your child is able to visit during August, you will find that they are likely to be able to mix with more English speaking guests.
Does my child need to be able to speak English to go on a PGL Kids' Adventure Camp?
Your child will need to be able to speak English well enough to understand the safety instructions that are an essential part of the activities we offer. We normally recommend that the child has undertaken two years of English tuition before coming to PGL and is working to at least an A2 on the CEFR standards.
Do you offers holidays with English lessons?
Our holidays are about having fun and we do not offer additional English language lessons. However please rest assured that your child will have plenty of opportunities to practise and improve their English whilst speaking to our staff and other guests.
Can my child stay for more than one week?
Yes! We are pleased to welcome children for more than one week. We do recommend changing centres via our inter-centre transfer service, or trying a different camp at your first centre, in order to get as much out of your child’s experience as possible.
Can my child visit more than one centre, and can you provide transport between centres?
If your children are staying for more than one week we recommend that they visit more than one centre to ensure they get the most out of their camp. We are usually able to provide travel between many of our UK centres and then back to the airport/eurostar at the end of their holiday. You can find details of our travel and transport services here.
Do you provide bed linen and towels?
Children attending PGL Kids’ Camps can either bring their own bedding or hire it from our centres for a small additional cost.
How to book
At point of booking you will need to confirm your child’s name, date of birth, legal parent/guardian and that they are capable of looking after their own personal care whilst staying at PGL. You will also be required to confirm you are happy to complete all mandatory paperwork in relation to your child’s stay. Once you have placed your booking online or over the phone whoever is listed as the child’s legal parent/guardian will be sent an Essential Guest Information Form to complete, where we gather details on any requirements relevant to your child during their stay with us, that will enable our team to make their Kids’ Camp a safe and enjoyable experience.
At point of booking you will also be able to add any optional extras such as bedding, camp kits and travel to your reservation.
